Joy, Care, and Responsibility
Looking for families in the Asheville-Area seeking part time childcare.
Hi, I’m Jackie!
I’m an experienced early childhood educator with a master’s degree in education research. I am returning to school to pursue child mental health counseling. While doing so, I’m seeking families to work with who need part time child care.
As a classroom teacher, I used a play-based learning philosophy (Reggio Emilia) that follows children’s interests and needs. I’m also trained in emotionally responsive practice and trauma-informed care. This all means that in addition to providing the love and care of a babysitter, I can also support your child’s learning and development from a whole-child approach.
Currently, I’m open to:
Part-time babysitting on week days
After school pick up and tutoring
Child care on occasional date nights or surprise school closures
Nannying “pods” or group care with multiple children from different families
We’d be a great fit if…
